THIS PAST WEEKEND, OUR POST STAFF, PATRONS AND OFFICERS HOSTED A LUNCHEON TO HONOR LEWIS OSWALD AND JACK MILLER FOR ALL OF THEIR HARD WORK, SERVICE AND DEDICATION TO THE POST. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL CEREMONY AND BOTH MEN WERE THOROUGHLY SURPRISED AND HUMBLED TO RECEIVE THE HONORARY AWARDS. 

CONGRATS TO ALL OF THOSE WHO WON AT OUR GUN RAFFLE THIS PAST SATURDAY! WE ENJOYED OUR EVENING WITH EVERYONE!

READY TO KICK START YOUR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND WIH SOME LIVE MUSIC?

Come on out to the Post this Friday May 26th from 7-10 pm to hear live music from the Moonshine Spike Band. They will be playing in the canteen, so this event is only opened to Post members and their guests! This will be the band’s first time playing at our venue and we are excited to have them. Let’s give them a great crowd! The group is blues influenced and they play a bit of classic country and rock! So make sure you bring your dancing shoes! There’s an event reminder on Facebook, so be sure you come on out to the club to support! 

THIS WEEKEND IS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO PAY OUR RESPECTS TO THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY THAN BY SPENDING SOME TIME AT THE POST!

If you’re looking for a way to spend your Sunday during Memorial Day Weekend, then we have you covered! We invite you and your families to come out to the Post on Sunday May 28th for our Memorial Day Service. It will begin around 11 am and we will be outside for a good portion of it, honoring the lives of those who are no longer with us. 

JUMPING A BIT AHEAD INTO JUNE, HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO! WE ARE KICKING OFF THESE SUMMER MONTHS WITH A BANG!

TRIVIA is back on Wednesday June 7th from 6:30-8:30 pm. DJ Bill Wright will be hosting, and you will be racking your brain and the brains of others for the answers! There’s always 4 rounds with 10 questions each. He likes to mix up the types of questions he asks, so he always leaves you guessing! What it will be for this week?! You’ll just have to come out and PLAY TO SEE!

THE POST IS READY TO HELP YOU SELL YOUR JUNK! WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU DE-CLUTTER THE HOME! HOW MAY YOU ASK?

The Millersville VFW Post will participate in the Millersville Community Yard Sale on Saturday June 10th beginning at 7 am! If you are interested in securing a slot so you may sell your items, please contact the Post at 717-872-9998 or contact Banquet Manager, McKayla Herman at 717-392-9670. Each slot is $10 and is a 10 ft by 10 ft square area, that fits about 3 tables. You may purchase as many slots as you’d like to ensure you are able to bring and fit all of the items you wish to sell! There are flyers hanging up around the community and the yard sale has been posted on several yard sale sites to help spread the word. But you can definitely tell all of your friends and neighbors about it as well! Let’s make this a success! We will also have a food truck on site, Smash & Toasted, which will be selling breakfast sandwiches and coffee. So come shop and eat! Check out the Facebook event reminder and share share share! 

WE ALSO HAVE SOME GREAT ENTERTAINMENT LINED UP FOR SATURDAY NIGHT AS WELL! SO THE FUN WILL CONTINUE!

DJ Danny is back at the Post on Saturday June 10th from 7-10 pm DJ-ing in the canteen. He will be taking all of your requests, so come on out with some friends to enjoy your weekend! This is opened to Post members and their guests only. We are ready for another entertaining evening with some great music, dancing and fun!

AND DO NOT FORGET TO MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE END OF JUNE! THE POST WELCOMES BACK A WELL-KNOWN BAND FOR A GREAT NIGHT OF ENTERTAINMENT!

Clear the calendar and make sure you come out for a great show! The Post will welcome FASTLANE back to our venue on Friday June 30th from 8-11 pm. This show is opened to the public 21 and over. Doors will open at 7:30 pm and there will be a $5 cover charge. There will be a cash bar available throughout the evening and there is an ATM right on site. Food will also be available for purchase. FASTLANE plays all over Lancaster County and the guys were even nominated for an award a few months ago! You won’t want to miss this show!
