Sunday, December 19, 2010: Post Christmas Party 12PM to 2PM. Help us give the children of our post a Christmas to remember! We will be providing food, drink, games and presents for all the children (12 & under, please!). PLEASE SIGN UP! Last year we had to cancel the party because of a lack of interest – this is a chance for fun and FREE PRESENTS for your kids/grandkids! There’s no reason to miss out on it!

BUFFET SERVED FROM 5PM TO 8PM, DJ BECKY AND KARAOKE FROM 8PM TILL 1AM!
My wife and I and friends were at the club for dinner Saturday night. The quality of the food was somewhat disgusting. Frozen pre package is no way to serve. My wife had a crabcake that was not up to par. My meal must have come out of a box or something. Also my friends were very disappointed. What happened to the good food and nice atitude that was there before. I know you said in newsletter not to believe rumors about the new regime that took over. Well we were there the last night of dumping of the old regime. We know the way the folks were treated there last night of work. I only hope that the club stays afloat. I and other members will be going to other VFWs form here on. I have been a life member there for many years and my name has yet to be on the wall, please don’t patrinize me by putting up now.
thank You
Sorry to hear your food wasn’t up to par. Actually, the newsletter didn’t mention anything about “regimes” – and I’m curious how you know about the way “folks were treated their last night of work,” since you weren’t present when we met with them. In fact, you weren’t present at the meeting when it was decided that we could no longer afford to pay a full time cook, the meetings before that when we tried to find a solution for our growing debt, nor any of the meetings when we tried to get more members involved at helping around the post. I hope you enjoy your new posts, and maybe you can get involved in those posts so that they won’t face the same problems we face with members that want to bitch about the way things are run but not get involved to help make things better for everyone.
